A meeting of the CPN (UML) local election central monitoring and coordination committee has today decided to mobilize the entire party to make the party’s candidates victorious in the second-phase of local election, learning from the experience of the first-phase local polls.
The meeting held at the party’s central office at Dhumbarahi and chaired by the party general secretary Ishwar Pokharel took a decision to that end.
It also directed all the party’s district committees to send the name list and the votes secured by the party’s all candidates, who contested in the first-phase local level election to the post of Municipality Mayor and Deputy Mayor, and the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of Rural Municipality, Ward chairperson and member, to the party’s central office at the soonest.
Party secretary and chief of the publicity department, Yogesh Bhattarai said that the meeting has instructed all the district committees of the party to send the particulars like the name list and the vote count of all the candidates who contested in the election for the various local level posts to the party central office at the earliest.
Likewise, the district committees have been urged to send the details as the five bases for winning the election, five bases for a candidate losing the election, the role of the administration during the election, the impact of party’s internal mobilization and adjustments of candidates, and experiences to the central office at the earliest possible.
